Moon Rotor Privacy Policy

Information stored on the device

Moon Rotor stores the preferences a person chooses, reminder settings, a limited history of guidance feedback, a bounded cache of generated guidance, and reflections the person saves or dismisses in the Reflection Library. A library entry includes the exact reflection, its lunar context and date, the selected Tone and Focus, whether the reflection was curated or safely personalized, and the device locale and time-zone identifiers used when it was shown. Those identifiers preserve the saved calendar context if the person later travels or changes language. This information remains in the app's local container and is not transmitted by Moon Rotor.

Keepsakes and observing locations

Moon Keepsakes stores user-chosen titles, dates, original time zones, and notes locally, separately from the Reflection Library. Personal keepsakes and the manually selected observing city, coordinates, and time zone are never supplied to on-device guidance. Moon Rotor does not request device location or send observing locations to a service.

Sharing a keepsake prepares a moon-and-date image on the device. Personal notes are excluded unless the person enables Include a note excerpt and reviews the preview. The image leaves Moon Rotor only when the person chooses a destination in the system share sheet; the destination handles it under its own privacy practices. Keepsakes can be deleted individually. The observing location can be removed with Forget this location in See the Moon.

If the person chooses Save Image in the share sheet, the system may ask permission to add that card to Photos. Moon Rotor does not request permission to read the photo library.

On-device intelligence

On supported devices, Moon Rotor may use Apple's Foundation Models framework to generate reflective guidance. Moon Rotor supplies the system model only with lunar context and preferences and feedback already stored by Moon Rotor. Moon Rotor does not send that content to the developer or operate a remote model service.

Notifications and widgets

If a person enables reminders, Moon Rotor asks iOS to schedule local notifications. Widgets and notifications use lunar calculations performed on the device. Moon Rotor does not receive delivery analytics or notification-interaction data.

Retention and deletion

Learned personalization data can be reset from Moon Rotor's Settings. That reset removes recent reaction context and generated variations but keeps explicit Made for You, Tone, and Focus choices and does not delete the Reflection Library. Saved and dismissed library entries remain until the person deletes them individually or clears the corresponding collection. Turning a reminder off removes Moon Rotor's pending notifications for that reminder. Deleting Moon Rotor removes its local app data, subject to the normal behaviour of iOS backups that the person controls through Apple.

Support communications are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, diagnose the issue, protect Moon Rotor and its users, keep appropriate support records, or meet legal obligations. They are then deleted or de-identified unless a legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-related need requires longer retention.

Sharing and sale

Moon Rotor does not sell personal information or use it for advertising or marketing. It does not disclose local app data because it does not collect that data from the app. Voluntary support communications are disclosed only to the mail providers needed to transmit or store them and when required by law or reasonably necessary for legal or security purposes.

Support communications

If you choose to contact support, Moon Rotor opens a draft in your selected Mail service and does not automatically attach app data. No support message is sent until you choose to send it. Your sender email address, message content, attachments, and any app, device, or diagnostic details you include are then processed by your mail provider and the developer's email provider under their respective policies.

The developer uses support communications only to respond to your request, diagnose reported issues, protect Moon Rotor and its users, keep appropriate support records, and meet legal obligations. The developer does not sell or rent support communications, use them for advertising or marketing, or combine them with your activity in Moon Rotor. Do not include sensitive information.

To request access to, correction of, or deletion of a support communication, email moonrotor@gmail.com from the address used for the original message and provide enough detail to locate it. The developer may verify the request and may retain information when required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, or legal claims.

Where support processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent by emailing the same address. Withdrawal applies prospectively and does not affect processing already lawfully completed; it may also prevent the developer from continuing to investigate or answer the request. Moon Rotor cannot delete copies controlled by your mail provider.

Children

Moon Rotor is not directed to children under 13. The app itself does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child included personal information in a support message, contact the developer to request its deletion.

Changes

If Moon Rotor's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed behaviour is released.
